We consider the privacy of our visitors to be extremely important. This privacy policy document describes in detail the types of personal information is collected and recorded and how we use it.

Log Files

Like many other Web sites, this website makes use of log files. These files merely log visits to the site – usually a standard procedure for hosting companies and a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information inside the log files includes truncated internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, your operating system, date/time stamp, and the pages/services you visited on our server (biwww.che.sbg.ac.at). This information is used for administrative and technical reasons only, such as debugging and error handling, preparation of maintenance work, to ensure the stability of our services, and to optimize our services. IP addresses and other such information are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. Under no circumstances, this data will be passed on to third parties. The log files are automatically deleted after 10 days.

These data are stored on separate servers, are deleted after the seven day period, and are not connected or analyzed with personal data, such as IP addresses, except optionally provided e-mail addresses. Optionally provided e-mail addresses (if you want to receive an e-mail when your job has finished), are stored with the remaining data and are deleted as well after seven days. None of these data are used for further analyses or provided to third parties. All data are stored on servers belonging to the University of Salzburg.
